The main aim of this course is to educate you in the multiple understandings of Anatomy from a Yoga perspective, and help you gain the knowledge necessary to improve your self practice and the teaching of others. The body does not have to suffer, you don’t have to feel pain, and through Yoga and the understanding of your own anatomy you can free yourself from physical suffering.

  • Cody Gavin Pizer (South Africa) RYT-500, lead ULU Yoga Trainer, Advanced Functional Anatomy Coach, Yoga Teacher. “My philosophy is, whenever you do any classes or any physical practice of yoga, do it with joy, have fun and be happy.” Cody has been teaching with ULU Yoga for several years on multiple teacher trainings in Thailand and Bali. He specialises in Vinyasa Flow, Anatomy and Meditation. He has written books on mindfulness and leads courses on finding your flow through meditation.


CERTIFICATE

  • ULU Yoga is a 500-hour registered school with Yoga Alliance (198078). After successfully completing this course you will receive a certificate of completion. Yoga Alliance members may register this course as Additional Training and receive a Certificate of Continuing Education.


1. INTRO TO ANATOMY

  • This is a basic refresher just in case you forgot what you learned in your first TTC or if you are new to the anatomy world. In these classes we will be discussing basic anatomical terms, the basic functions of the muscio-skeletal system and the properties and characteristics of the Skeleton, Connective Tissue, Muscles and Fascia. We will also learn the names of the most frequently referred to bones, joints and muscles. 5 hours


2. ADVANCED & FUNCTIONAL YOGA ANATOMY

  • In these advanced Yoga anatomy sessions you will learn indepthly on: Shoulder Mobility; Hip Mobility; The Spine & lower back; Ankles, Knees, Wrists & Elbows; Foot and Bow Anatomy; The Nervous System; The Nature of Fascia; The Functional Anatomy of a Handstand; Functional Yoga Anatomy Practices. 8 hours


3. POST Q&A DISCUSSIONS 

  • In these previously recorded LIVE webinars we discuss evolving topics of Yoga Anatomy and Alignment and hear the answers to commonly asked questions from Yoga students and Teachers from around the world. 33 hours


4. READINGS AND QUIZ

  • To support your learning ULU Yoga provides you with complimentary readings and multiple choice quizzes to test your knowledge and understanding of the topics covered. 4 hours


5. LIVE Q&A DISCUSSIONS
